Description
| Dia.: 24,5 cm Notes: For an almost identical dish, see an example
from the Princessehof Museum, Leeuwarden, which is discussed in
Scheurleer, Chinese Export Porcelain: Chine de Commande, London 1974,
Faber & Faber, plate 311, page 227, where Scheurleer suggests that
the dish illustrates the tale of Yang Hsiang, one of the 24 paragons of
Filial Piety, and the tiger. - One plate with a number of small rim chips repaired around the dish, on the extremities of the rim, lighting up under UV light. (The two largest shown in the photos below this description) - The other plate also with a few repaired points on the extremities, and one somewhat larger repair, probably to mask a small reglued break of ca. 4 cm, visible on the back under UV light.
