Marked HH in every panel, for Hans Hilgers, active 1565 until 1595.
Of slightly tapering cylindrical form, applied with three identical
panels with a studded band at either end, enclosing a figure flanked by
scrolling foliage above a banner inscribed 'LVBICENSIS', the
double-headed eagle and the date and a cartouche of John the Baptist
flanked by figures and 'HH', the contemporary pewter cover struck with
three marks
