Ornamentally in the style of Hans Vredemand de Vries, while stylistically related to the mural depicting scenes from the Book of Tobit at Vila Viçosa, Portugal, dated 1558. A further large jug, dated 1562, in the Brussels Royal Museums of Art and History and published in Dumortier, Céramique de la renaissance à Anvers, p. 207, also shows stylistical similarities.
