描述
The present painting is after Thomas de Keyser’s 'Portrait of an Elderly Man (Donor) and his Son', dated 1630–1650, formerly in the Gemäldegalerie, Berlin (inv. no. 750B; obj. no. 864515). The original, painted on oak panel and measuring 66 × 29 cm, was probably one wing of an altarpiece and is believed to have been destroyed in May 1945 in the Friedrichshain flak tower in Berlin.
